Program Overview

Your Business + Culture program in Sydney gives you the chance to combine professional growth with Australia’s thriving business scene while taking a broad selection of business courses. You’ll enroll in a combination of CIEE courses, host institution courses, and courses taught online through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU. Through co-curricular and extracurricular activities, explore the city’s highlights by climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, surfing at Bondi Beach, attending industry networking events, and visiting innovation hubs, museums, and cultural festivals that showcase Sydney’s entrepreneurial and creative spirit. In Sydney, your semester abroad combines hands-on business experience with the lifestyle of one of the world’s most exciting cities.

Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Sydney will open doors for you to explore Australia’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.??  

Samples of excursions and activities: 

  • Explore South Eveleigh and Redfern on an entrepreneurship discovery tour to see how local businesses spot market gaps, attract customers, and adapt in a diverse urban environment 
  • Take a trip to a local wildlife sanctuary followed by a hike at the spectacular Blue Mountains with experienced and informed guides  
  • Visit a university startup and innovation hub to see how collaborative ecosystems connect entrepreneurs, researchers, and students to build and grow new ventures
