Program Overview

Your CIEE Summer Intern and Study Abroad program in Rennes lasts 6 weeks and features three key components: A part-time internship with an international organization (15-20 hours per week), an internship seminar, and a 3-credit academic course taught online through CIEE’s global academic partner, ASU. Enhance your experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in French culture. Live, learn, and work in Rennes!

Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Rennes will open doors for you to explore France's rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.      

Samples of past excursions and activities: 

  • Visit Mont Saint-Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you will explore the abbey and the citadel, and walk in the pilgrims’ footsteps
  • Explore Brittany’s privateers’ haven and enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery from the walled city of Saint-Malo
  • Embark on a journey through time as you discover medieval castle of Fougères
