Academics

The 2026 Scan Design Foundation Environmental Sustainability Internship participants will spend May 19 to July 12, 2026, in Copenhagen and participate in 6-credit internship seminar and a fully immersive internship at a Danish host organization focused on environmentally sustainable business practices. Interns will explore environmental sustainability in the Danish context, learning about Denmark’s commitment to sustainable, low-carbon, resource-efficient practices. From core Danish approaches to sustainable practices, the interns will compare how Denmark and the U.S. approach environmental sustainability. Interns will round out their experience by developing a network of international contacts that will prepare them for a successful future finding innovative and sustainable solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental challenges.
