Program Overview

Your Engineering, Technology + Sciences program in Melbourne lasts a full semester and offers you an integrated global learning experience that connects your coursework with real-world applications. You will enroll in a combination of CIEE courses, host institution courses, and courses taught online through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU, that focus on science, technology, engineering, or math.   • Explore CERES Community Environment Park, a vibrant center for sustainable urban agriculture, where you can discover how innovative practices are transforming urban spaces into green, eco-friendly communities 
  • Meet Australia’s unique wildlife up close at Healesville Sanctuary and snap a selfie with a koala or kangaroo 
  • Get a birds’ eye view of Melbourne’s beaches, gardens, and distant Mount Dandenong from the 88th floor of the Melbourne Skydeck, the southern hemisphere’s highest observation tower

CIEE Melbourne: Located in the heart of the city, the CIEE Center has easy access to all this great city has to offer. As part of a co-working enterprise, CIEE Melbourne shares space with dynamic small businesses and startups with full access to modern and welcoming classrooms and meeting rooms, breakout areas, quiet rooms, Wi-Fi, study booths, printers, and more.

Monash University: One of Australia’s largest universities, Monash is recognized for its strong global connections, diverse student body, and state-of-the-art facilities. Set in beautiful parkland, the university's vibrant campus life, coupled with its emphasis on practical learning and industry partnerships, provides students with a dynamic and enriching educational experience.  

Arizona State University (ASU): Brought to you by CIEE in partnership with ASU, enhance your international coursework with online classes that align with your degree requirements. ASU offers thousands of online courses in asynchronous 7.5-week sessions that fit within the CIEE academic calendar.

GAIN Travel Grants - Up to $1,500 toward travel costs guaranteed to students with a FAFSA SAI of $10,000 or less. Higher should still apply!

Gilman Go Global Grants - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $1,000 guaranteed to Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship applicants.

Merit-Based Scholarships - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $750/summer awarded to students deomonstrating high academic achievement.
