Program Overview

Take your studies to the City of Azaleas and Taiwan’s incredible capital, Taipei! Designed for students interested in the Chinese language and Asian studies, this program is the perfect opportunity to earn credits toward your degree while immersing yourself in Taiwanese culture.  

When class is in session, you’ll study at the National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) where you’ll take courses in the arts, sciences, and Chinese language. You may also enroll in Mandarin or English courses from other departments at NTNU. To round out your academic experience, you’ll have the chance to participate in various cultural and educational experiences, such as community engagement and excursions, while participating in NTNU campus life and CIEE-organized activities.

Projects

Volunteering: Students will have the opportunity to volunteer at local community organizations, such as schools, community centers, or nonprofit organizations. Students may participate in activities such as tutoring, mentoring, or teaching English, and in the process, gain a deeper understanding of the local community and culture.
