On this Open Campus Block program, you’ll get to know Prague on your terms by customizing how many blocks you’re abroad and which subject areas you want to study.

Excursions & Activities

  • Take part in CIEE-organized excursions to learn more about the Czech Republic and Central Europe
  • Cheer on a local sports team at a hockey game
  • Sample local Moravian wines at a sommelier-led wine tasting
  • Bike along the paths along the Vltava River and see another side of Prague
  • Watch an opera in one of the amazing baroque opera houses
  • Participate in cultural activities organized by local college students to spark your interest in local art, film, music, sports, or cuisine

Projects

  • Academic Projects will be offered onsite (either in-person or remotely), dependent on availability and in compliance with local health and safety regulations.
  • Academic Project placement will be designed based on the student’s project learning goals, qualifications, resume, and availability of placements in location or within the Open Campus Block network, either in-person or remotely. The process is highly individualized and goal oriented. Students enrolled in an Academic Project will receive additional academic support that informs and enhances the placement experience.?
  • Students applying for an Academic Project are required to submit additional materials during the course selection process.??
