Amsterdam Spring Quarter – Psychology, Sociology & Political Science

Program Overview

Imagine waking up in your residence hall, meeting a friend for an espresso, and walking along the canals...all on your way to a program-wide cultural event like a museum visit or a food tour. This is what it’s like to study abroad with us in Amsterdam this spring—a holistic experience where learning happens both inside and outside the classroom, and at every turn.

Create your own academic experience in Amsterdam by selecting three or four courses in psychology, sociology, political science, or art history. Here, you’ll take learning outside of the classroom and earn a total of 9-12 credits.

Why Amsterdam?

Known for its liberal views and open-minded attitude, the residents of Amsterdam welcome you to this cozy city. You'll adore the lovely canals and old European charm that make up the enchanting city of Amsterdam. Because the city planning hasn't changed much since the 19th century, you'll appreciate the architecture and historic homes that color the city. And you can't leave without seeing the windmills!

Student Life

We strive to make sure you feel safe, cared for, and at home while you’re away from home. Whether it’s the orientation program that makes you feel prepared, your housing that is well-located and comfortable, the cultural events that make it easy and fun to meet other international and local students, or the field trips and walking tours that take you to places tourists don’t usually see—we’re all about our student service. Learn more about the day-to-day studying abroad on this program. From field trips to housing, it’s all on IES Abroad’s website.

Get started.
