Program Overview

Your CIEE Summer Global Internship program in Paris lasts 8 weeks and features two key components: A full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30-40 hours per week) and an internship seminar. Enhance your experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in French culture. Live, learn, and work in Paris!

Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Paris will open doors for you to explore France's rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.  

Samples of past excursions and activities: 

  • Take a trip outside of Paris to visit Monet’s home or wander through Versailles Palace and its gardens
  • Enjoy a French pastry-tasting to learn about French pastries and sample some of the most famous examples like éclair au chocolat
  • Discover the Montmartre neighborhood located in north Paris to learn about the area’s artistic significance

  • Workshops: Enhance your resume and interview skills while immersing yourself in French business culture through an internship and workshops that build practical skills, foster cultural competence, and expand your network.
  • Company Visits: Visit a digitally native company, a consulting firm, or a local non-profit foundation to gain an in-depth understanding of the work environment in Paris.

GAIN Travel Grants - up to $2,000 toward travel costs guaranteed to all Pell-elgible students.

Gilman Go Global Grants - $2,500/semester and $1,000/summer, guaranteed to all Gilman applications.

Merit-Based Scholarships - $2,500/semester and $750/summer, awarded to students deomonstrating high academic achievement.

Minority Serving Institutions (MIS) Grant - $2,000/semester and $500/summer, guaranteed to all students attending MSIs.
