Community Health & Medical Spanish

Spend your summer exploring global health and medical Spanish at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH), one of Peru's top-rated universities.

  • Designed for advanced Spanish speakers pursuing careers in healthcare, this program combines rigorous academics with meaningful real-world experience

  • Take courses in Community Health and Medical Spanish alongside UPCH's physicians in clinics and health centers in low-income areas

  • An advanced level of Spanish proficiency is required as all courses are taught in Spanish by expert UCPH faculty

  • Participate in field work, helping you improve your Spanish language skills and engage in hands-on experience in community health

  • Enjoy activities such as sandboarding in the desert, exploring ancient ruins, learning about conservation efforts in the Amazon, or feeding alpacas in the Andes
