CIEE Global Institute – Madrid : Open Campus Program
We’re pleased to offer semester pricing for open campus programs starting at $17,850. CIEE is committed to preparing global citizens for today’s workforce and tackling the barriers that prevent students from studying abroad. Providing affordable programs is key to these efforts, and supports our pledge to Generation Study Abroad™.

Design the ideal study abroad experience with unmatched flexibility to meet requirements for your degree and pursue other interests at the CIEE Global Institute in London. The CIEE London Open Campus model features an innovative block system that offers three six-week blocks in the fall and spring semesters. Choose two or three blocks to select the right balance of intensive study and cultural engagement for you, select your academic track from five options, then choose your electives from our wide range of courses and subject areas.

Each CIEE course includes 45 contact hours for a recommended 3 semester/4.5 quarter hours. Enriching academic study tours, excursions, and other special activities are designed around each academic track. It all adds up to a uniquely flexible, immersive, and challenging academic experience.

Choose from the following academic tracks:Business
Communications, Journalism, and New Media
Health Sciences
International Relations and Political Science
Literature and Culture
Enhance your academic program with:Internships
Directed Independent Research
Service-Learning Projects
The block system provides maximum flexibility for U.S. students, including students from schools that operate on quarter or trimester systems. While most students will choose three consecutive blocks for a total of 18 weeks of study, students can opt for two consecutive blocks for a total of 12 weeks of study. In the later case, students complete four courses for a recommended 12 semester / 18 quarter hours.

This approach allows CIEE London Open Campus students to select all of their courses from the wide range of CIEE offerings or choose a combination of CIEE courses and courses at one of our four London partner-universities, where they can learn alongside British students.
