Program Description:

The UNT Study Abroad Office is seeking student volunteers to act as Study Abroad Ambassadors! As an Ambassador, you will be a representative of the Study Abroad Office and promote study abroad across campus by sharing your own international experiences. Ambassadors possess strong interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, and a genuine interest in meeting new people.

As an ambassador, you will actively build on your past study abroad experience and gain valuable leadership skills. You will receive hands-on training in the growing field of international education and enhance your public speaking ability. Finally, and most importantly, you will have the opportunity to share your personal experiences and inspire others to broaden their horizons by studying abroad at UNT!
 
Applications have closed for the Spring 2024 term. Fall 2024 applications will open June 3.

Qualifications
  • Current student at UNT
  • In good standing with the university (minimum 2.0 GPA)
  • Previously participated in an approved study abroad program with UNT (Affiliate, Exchange, or Faculty Led)
Requirements
  • Attend a mandatory training session at the beginning of the semester
    • Fall 2024 training will be on Thursday, August 22 from 4-6pm
  • Attend a monthly ambassador meeting
  • Represent the SAO at events across campus, including organizational fairs and the annual Study Abroad Fair
  • Commit to participate for at least one full semester
